Winter Diesel Running Day

Are you looking for something to do between Christmas & New Year? Join us for our Diesel Running Day on Wednesday 29th December! We will be running an intensive timetable, with first departure at 09:30 and last at 17:20, with multiple historic diesel locomotives in use.

Locomotives in Use:

Members of the SRPS Diesel Group fleet will be hauling trains all day, and we are hopeful for the appearance of a special guest!

• Class 27 No. 27001
• Class 37 No. 37403 ‘Isle of Mull’, first appearance after overhaul
• Class 47 No. 47643
• Guest Loco (TBC)

Please note that all locomotives appear subject to availability and the SRPS reserve the ability to change advertised traction and timetables without notice

Ticket options:

Please note that all tickets must be purchased in advance; on the day sales may not be available. Ticket options will include standard and first class day rovers and will be available to purchase soon!

Unfortunately, our accessible coach will not be available on these services as it is incompatible with the braking systems used by some of the diesel locomotives in use during the Winter Diesel Running Day.
