A Big Tree Planting Event is planned so this area of waste land is gradually made more interesting for wildlife and walkers alike.
Already the eastern boundary has been marked with a dozen standard trees. These are mainly sycamore but 400 small native saplings have been donated by the Woodland trust and Alba Trees. These include hawthorn and hazel, rowan and briar rose, oak and birch. The community is invited to help with their planting. Come and join in the fun and make a difference. Note the date in your diary now!
Meet us at the Triangle by the Union Canala (west of the Leisure Centre).
