In 1572, dashing young Lord Claud Hamilton seized Blackness Castle on behalf of Mary Queen of Scots following her forced abdication. After protecting it against all attackers, he sallied forth with his men to deliver retribution onto her enemies.
Come and meet one of Hamilton’s men and hear about siege warfare in the sixteenth century. Get a hands-on feel for the weight of the arms and armour of the time and take the opportunity to brush up on your pike, sword, and buckler skills.
