Event Details

PROGRAMME:

To be announced. Includes Schubert Octet.

The performers are drawn from the members of Scottish Sinfonia. Sinfonia Chambers Players was founded in 1970 by Neil Mantle. He has conducted it ever since in over two hundred concerts. It has a basic playing strength of ninety players, augmented as required from a pool of around 160 members.

The orchestra is a highly successful mixture of professional players, instrumental teachers and amateurs with an age range of seventeen to seventy. They are all united in one common aim: to make music to the highest standard of which they are capable.

Organizer

Linlithgow Arts Guild

Linlithgow Arts Guild is a voluntary organisation. Its aim is to “Bring Excellence in the Live Arts to Linlithgow”, and since 1969 we have had the privilege of promoting many fine performances by artists, ensembles and orchestras of world renown. The vast majority of performers are professional musicians who perform internationally. The concerts are open to everyone. Our programmes are varied and we hope to attract as many people as possible to spread the substantial costs of our events. Tickets for individual concerts are on sale to the general public for all of our events. We normally have around 200 season-ticket holders who comprise the membership. Our audience numbers have averaged around 200 in recent years, with nearly 400 for major events. We have sold tickets throughout Central Scotland, and sometimes further afield..
