Come and try Stand Up Paddleboarding!
-This is a great opportunity to come and have a go at this brilliant, sociable sport.
-If you are already a paddler, why not bring your stuff along and bring a non-paddling friend or two to have a go? Or perhaps try Paddlefast’s equipment in case you are looking for a board or paddle upgrade.
-Take advantage of top tips from an ASI qualified instructor *if you would like a proper lesson, please book this in advance by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org*
Paddlefast will have a variety of boards and paddles available from Red Paddle Co, Naish and Starboard.
TIMINGS – 10am to 1pm
PARKING – please park in the public car park by the canal (not the Park Bistro!)
THEN WHERE? – From the parking area, you will be able to see a pontoon between you and the bridge to your right (if looking at the canal). Head to the pontoon.
WHAT TO WEAR – this is an outdoor activity and it is possible/probable that you will fall in the water. If you don’t have a wetsuit, we would recommend sports wear and trainers. Please bring a towel and a change of clothes, just in case.
Buoyancy Aids are available.
COST – £5 per paddler
Please note: at busy times, you may have to wait until a board becomes available. Please make yourself known to Emma and avail yourself of the catering facilities in the Park Bistro until a board becomes available.
