HeatHack offer a free programme to help improve energy efficiency and thermal comfort in community spaces.
If you are linked to a community venue or local church seeking to explore your net zero journey and need support please join us at our event to learn more.
At this event we will introduce the programme, including playing our card game of actions you can take, and allow you to ask questions of our programme director and one of our volunteer engineers.
The event is 1.5 hours but we have the room for longer to allow for networking.
HeatHack is funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Ingenious programme.

HeatHack is a group of volunteers working on an interesting question: how can we make the UK’s community spaces comfortable on less energy use? Churches, halls, and community centres are difficult to move to Net Zero – but many groups, from children’s nurseries to dementia care, rely on them. They are some of the hardest buildings to manage because they are usually traditionally built, often listed, and almost never designed to modern heating requirements.
