Cats the Musical

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS, one of the most famous musicals of all time, first exploded onto the West End stage in 1981. ‘Memory’, one of its many classic songs, became an instant worldwide hit. Since then CATS has smashed records and conquered the world. Having its West End premiere at the New London Theatre (now Gillian Lynne Theatre) in 1981, the original London production won best new musical at the 1981 Olivier Awards and played a continuous run of over 8,000 performances in 21 years
