Beyond Fever – the songs of Peggy Lee is a fascinating life story. Singer Sue McHugh tells her story, interwoven with pertinent songs. All the songs were sung by Peggy Lee and some were co-written by her.
A little bit of chat but the main focus is on the music. A mixture of sexy latin songs, great swing numbers and heart wrenching ballads to illustrate the life of a remarkable performer and woman. With Jim Clelland on piano, Jimmy Taylor on double bass and Ken Mathieson on drums.
