Event Details

The first of our Autumn/Winter talks is Putting Linlithgow In Its Place by Dr Callum Watson. Callum is based at the Battle of Bannockburn Centre and recently appeared on the Neil Oliver TV series ‘the Rise of the Clans. He was also one of the historical advisers on the Robert the Bruce movie ‘The Outlaw King’, some of which was filmed here at the Peel.

Callum has put together a talk especially for us, entitled ‘Putting Linlithgow in its place. Linlithgow as a Focus of Royal Activity in Late Medieval Scotland.’ Throughout the fourteenth- and fifteenth-centuries, Linlithgow was regularly the scene of pivotal moments in Scotland’s history. This talk will examine some of these events and explore Linlithgow’s significance in late medieval Scotland. We’re delighted to have Callum open the series and this evening will be sponsored by Mill Lane Motors.

Tickets are £5, available from the museum desk and include a cuppa and a biccy!
