In 2013, Scottish poet and novelist James Robertson wrote a short story every day of the year. Each story was 365 words, no more, no less. Scottish fiddler and composer Aidan O’Rourke (of Lau) then matched the challenge. He wrote a new tune every day for a year in response to James’s stories.
This sound-art installation at Linllithgow Palace shares that work, allowing visitors to the story or tune of any chosen day – or both together.
