Linlithgow Kayak Racing a friendly flatwater kayak racing club where we make kayaking is safe and fun. The club was established around the year 2000. We are essentially a flat water racing club with our activities/training/sessions being geared towards racing, enabling members to compete in local, Scottish and National sprint and marathon events. Linlithgow Kayak Racing also tries to build fun nights into the structure of the club and we also organise club events on behalf of the Scottish Canoe Association and weekend trips.
Where and when do you meet?
Training sessions take place on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings during the racing season (April to September) for juniors. Monday is our introduction night and all club members must start on a Monday. Once a member has become proficient, they may choose to add in a Wednesday session or come on a Wednesday instead. Thursday training is by invitation only, dependent on performance ability and attendance at competitions. Adult sessions are likely to be offered during the 2019 season and details will be published in the spring. We meet at the Manse Road Canal Basin (next to the Canal Centre) in Linlithgow.
