Would you like to become involved in the latest Solar Initiative? Linlith-Go-Solar has an opportunity for a Support Volunteer. With this role you could enhance your current skills & interests and learn new ones going forward. It’s an amazing opportunity to support the local community of Linlithgow and also make a difference within the environment.
Role Description – These are some of the things you would be participating in and/or learning.
Social media postings, technology research & updates, arranging, supporting and taking notes for LgS meetings, helping out at events, being part of our voluntary LgS Project Management Team, contributing to our Young Energy Enterprise Group, helping design and develop community engagement & educational activities and materials, supporting web-based solar output monitoring and reading submissions, budget profiling and book-keeping and community bond marketing and assistance.
Time commitment – 2 hours per month (more if you are available)
Location – Linlithgow or virtually if preferred
Required Skills – Good communication skills. Ability to work with M/S software package and social media. Enthusiastic team player. May suit student seeking experience of community energy or renewables industry. Good opportunity for adult seeking to retrain into this industry.
Training and Support Available – Some mentoring available from Project Lead Neil Barnes. Potential budget for more specialist training subject to Trust resources and need.
Additional requirements – Willing to be flexible for an emerging enterprise moving into Phase 3.
