Wee Three Indies Presents Summer Craft Sessions

For kids young and old we’ve lined up some fantastic illustrators to our summer craft sessions. Join us for our FREE summer craft sessions next week – we have two Big Top, Bee-rilliant author/illustrators to get us started: Esther Kent and Rob Ramsden.
Both of these events are happening on Facebook Live, so just head over to the Wee Three Indies page, like the page/events and you’ll be sent a notification when it goes live.
Here’s what to expect from Esther and Rob’s sessions next week, plus a list of materials you will need to follow along. Hope to see you there!

Molly’s Circus, Esther Kent, Wednesday 29 July, 10am
Author and illustrator Esther Kent will be reading from her debut picture book, Molly’s Circus, the story of the magic of imagination and a very adventurous young girl, told through Esther’s vibrant, pattern-filled illustrations. She’ll also talk about her inspiration and then show us how to make our own mini books!
Materials needed: A4 paper, Scissors, Pens/pencils, Glue stick

I Saw A Bee, Rob Ramsden, Thursday 30 July, 10am
Author and illustrator Rob Ramsden will be reading from I Saw A Bee, his beautifully illustrated picture book, then join in as Rob shows us how to make a rocking bee!
Materials needed: A sheet of A4 thin card (easily cut with scissors), probably with spares just in case, plus if we have time we may draw flowers on a sheet of paper to sit the rocking bee on.
A plate to draw around (must fit on the A4 sheet, please check beforehand)
Scissors
Pencil, for drawing
Coloured pencils/crayons (bee colours! Yellow, orange and black are essential, but other colours on hand are always useful)
You may want a black felt tip pen for drawing the eyes and wings, to help them stand out.
A glue stick or sticky tape
