Event Details

Inspired by Linlithgow Museum’s printing collections, join us for our family art workshop aimed at children aged 5 years old and upwards.

Heritage can mean lots of different things to different people (family, buildings, objects etc.). In this session we will explore what heritage means to you. Have a go at block printing, create your own block stamp design and stamp it onto a mini banner to take home.

The workshop is free but spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation Policy: Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel (before 11.00am Friday 17th November). Contact the museum directly on 01506 670 677 and leave a message.

Please Note:
This workshop could be messy so old clothes you don’t mind getting dirty are recommended. Aprons will be provided for smaller children, but for older children please bring an apron or old shirt.
Artwork will need to dry so we recommend exploring the museum after the workshop.
One of our volunteers is currently studying for a Masters Degree at the University of Huddersfield. This workshop will be used by them as a case study for their dissertation and they would like to record participants experiences and creations as part of their research. More information is available on request and participants will receive more information prior to the workshop.
