After the successful launch of the series with the Hastie duo on viola and piano, the next [email protected]’s recital shall take place at 3pm on Sunday 21st November, featuring Sue Evans on flute, with Alan Hastie on piano. Sue studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), and at the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia. Since graduating, she has worked with all the Scottish orchestras, including RSNO, Scottish Opera, BBC SSO, Scottish Ballet, SCO, Ludus Baroque and the Dunedin Consort. She also performs as part of the Sue Evans Flute and Harp Duo, and has lectured at Edinburgh College, and St George’s School, Edinburgh. Currently she teaches Woodwind for West Lothian Council. The programme includes the celebrated Flute Sonata by Poulenc, and music from Bach and Haydn, with some Fats Waller, and an elegant Jazz Waltz by John Rutter.
