The West Lothian Family History Society was formed in November 2000 to assist those researching family history and genealogy throughout the county of West Lothian. West Lothian Family History Society is registered in Scotland as Scottish Charity No. SC031501.
West Lothian Family History Society (WLFHS) is back in the Local History Library (located in Linlithgow Partnership Centre). The WLFHS will be here on a Tuesday and you can book an appointment to see them from either 10:30-11:45 or 1.30-3.30. To book simply scontact Linlithgow Library on 01506 283880.
WLFHS can help if you want to learn how to start researching your family history, advice on the best websites for your research, or have hit brick wall that you need help to chip away. They can also show you some of the resources held in West Lothian Council’s wonderful History Library, valuation and electoral rolls, local newspapers and so much more.
