Linlithgow Jazz
Linlithgow Jazz Club established in 1999 we invite different jazz performers to play locally in Linlithgow. For a small country, Scotland has an unusually large contingent of excellent jazz musicians so we have a large pool from which to choose!
When and where do you meet?
Linlithgow Jazz Club holds monthly music events, normally on the first Saturday of each month. All events are held at Queen Margaret Hall, St Michaels Presbytery, Blackness Rd, Linlithgow EH49 7JA. Membership is not required and we are always happy to welcome new friends! Tickets usually cost £12 and are available in advance from Far From The Madding Crowd on the High Street or online at EventBrite - see our website for what’s coming up and how to book.
Why would I be interested in getting involved?
The style of jazz changes monthly so there really is something for everyone; in recent months, our audiences have enjoyed music from Rose Room, Konrad Wiszniewski, the Nova Scotia Jazz Band and Colin Steele. Every 3 months or so, host – singer Sue McHugh - will feature her quintet which comprises some of Scotland’s finest musicians. We hope you will feel the urge to get up and dance - there is a good dance floor, so bring your dancing feet and come prepared to quickstep, foxtrot, jive or swing or just do your own thing. Or if you prefer just to relax and enjoy some great music our seating with tables is the perfect way to do just that.
