Description:

Linlithgow Camera Club is a small photography hobby club with a current membership of around a dozen, enthusiastic, photographers.
The membership displays a range of skills and interests and are always on the lookout for new members.
The minimum standard for membership is a vague interest in photography of any persuasion. If that criteria can be satisfied, then any and all are welcome to join.

When and where do you meet?

The Club meets upstairs in the Springfield Community Wing on a Tuesday evening from 7-9pm, September until May. Address:-Springfield Community Wing, 129 Springfield Rd, Linlithgow, EH49 7SN

Why would I be interested to get involved?

New members are always welcome and there is no 'minimum' standard of skill, or equipment, required.  No 'waiting list' either - so anyone from beginner up to advanced is encouraged to come along and will be made welcome by the current members. With this in mind, membership of the Club can be deferred for a short period to ensure that new, potential members are comfortable with the set-up and atmosphere. For the 2020-21 season, fees are £25, with an additional membership to Springfield Community wing also required.

To encourage expansion in abilities and ideas, the Club runs informal, monthly competitions which are either 'Theme' based, or 'Open' i.e. no specific topic. These are then 'judged' by Club members. Despite the competition 'vibe', the Club meets under a fairly relaxed atmosphere, with all members - who are willing and/or able - welcome to give advice and assistance to all.
