1st West Lothian Sea Scouts
The 1st West Lothian Sea Scouts were formed in 1942 by the Reverend P H R Mackay of Torphicen and apart from a short period in the 1990s, have been at Woodcockdale since then. Woodcockdale was built in 1822, the year the Union Canal opened.
When and where do you meet?
We have 4 sections - beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers and all meet at Woodcockdale. If your child would like to become part of our group, please be advised that it may be necessary to join a waiting list for a place.
Why would I be interested in being involved?
1st West Lothian Sea Scouts are a registered charity (SCO24347) as well as being part of the Scout movement. The Group not only relies upon its Leaders to deliver the Scout programme but on parents participating in the running of the Group to support the Leaders. We are all volunteers. If you are interested in helping in any way, please speak to one the Leaders or Executive. Your interest may be as a Leader or even just helping out with some badge work where you have a specific skill or knowledge, or it may be in the running of the Group, or even helping with small repairs.
