Linlithgow Amateur Musical Productions (LAMP) incorporating LAMP Children’s Theatre
Linlithgow Amateur Musical Productions formed as an amateur musical theatre company in 1985. We have performed an annual show every year since. We then formed our Children’s Theatre in 1995.
When and where do you meet?
Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings in Linlithgow Rugby Club. In October our annual production show takes place (October week holiday) and in April (Easter Holidays) the Children's show takes place. Performances are usually are held in Linlithgow Academy.
How can I get involved?
Linlithgow Amateur Musical Productions currently has approximately 60 members aged 16 and above. There are around 50 members ranging from 8-16 years. For both our adult and children's company please e-mail [email protected] with your name and, for children, their date of birth. Your name will be added to the waiting list and further details will be sent advising of auditions nearer the time.
If you are not a playing member of LAMP or LAMP Children’s Theatre, the main area for volunteering is with set building. We have 2 set-up nights the week before the show, along with the Saturday morning and Sunday before the show. We need as much help on these nights as possible with setting up the stage, putting scenery together or painting. We also build some of our set ourselves and we need help with this in the weeks leading up to the show. At the end of the week, we need help to remove everything from the school to leave it as we found it.
We are a great fun society, friendly and enjoy a great sense of pride whilst performing on stage. Being part of LAMP is great for building confidence and teamwork skills and working to a timeframe. For for information click here
