Does your local group need support with any of the following, or anything else?
- Helping move your activities or meetings online
- Promoting what you’re doing
- Finding new volunteers interested in getting involved
LCDT know that Linlithgow is full of amazing local groups run by volunteers (over 120 last time we checked!). Groups offer a huge range of activities for people to take part in, to socialise and enjoy their hobbies. As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt normal life we want to support groups that are developing different ways of continuing activities.
For example, the SCVO has a webpage of resources to help voluntary organisations use digital technology. Maybe LCDT can help groups with this?
LCDT is contacting local groups to make sure we have up-to-date details and to find out how we can help. We may have emailed you earlier today if we already have your contact details. If you have not heard from us, please email [email protected] to join the Linlithgow local groups mailing list, so that LCDT can stay in touch with you.
It would be great to have group Chairs and Committee members on the mailing list! But this is also for anyone interested in the support LCDT can offer to local groups.
So please email [email protected] to find out how they can help.
What’s Happening in the Community?
What’s happening in your area? LCDT want to give a shout out to all the amazing neighbourhood groups that are helping each other during this time.
Whether it’s a WhatsApp Group, a Neighbourhood Watch or Residents Association, or just a chap on the door, the local communities across Linlithgow are showing the strength of friendship and kindness.
LCDT know that lots of you have self-organised and have support mechanisms in place for your streets/neighbours across the ward, and are trying to find out where there may be gaps or if some people don’t know what already exists.
- What is your street is doing?
- How are you keeping in contact?
- How are you helping each other?
- Or is there nothing in your area that you know about?
Please let them know by commenting on the latest Facebook post or by emailing [email protected].
Thank you!
