Event Details

In this slower paced style of yoga class you will be working on stilling the body, mind and creating space within the body. You will be encouraged to find YOUR comfortable position, not too strong, not too soft, just right for you. Longer holds of floor based postures aim to encourage the deeper muscles and connective tissue to release and stretch, whilst getting the most out of practice through the use of props and modifications. Yin yoga encourages you to stay with the intense sensations that arise in your body, rather than quickly moving into the next posture. The sequences are full of hip-openers and spinal twists to assist the balancing of energy and nourishment within your body. A positive physiological shift in your state will do wonders for your mood. Quiet self-reflection is created at the end of the class.
