Join us at 10.35 am on Facebook for Legion Scotland‘s live #VJDay75 virtual Service of Remembrance, led by Legion Scotland Padre Rev Dr Karen Campbell. The Service will also feature readings from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Charmaine McMeekin, Daughter of the Late Eric Lomax FEPOW and Author of the book The Railway Man. The Kohima Epitaph will be read by Jack Ransom, Burma Star Veteran and survivor of Thai-Burma railway. Musical participation is from RAF Central Scotland Pipes & Drums, the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming and HM Royal Marines Band.

Join us at noon for our hour-long virtual tribute concert to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of VJ day. Hosted by BFBS Scotland’s, Mark McKenzie the concert will feature performances from Amy Hawthorn, Stuart Maclean, Barbara Bryceland and Sam Scott Thorne. Also featuring will be the stories of some of the incredible men and women who lived through the war in the Far East.
