On the morning of 8th November, 2018, a devastating wildfire engulfed the Californian town of Paradise.
As home after home went up in flames and roads became impassable, desperate residents grabbed the few possessions they could and fled the town. By the time the fire was extinguished, it had killed 85 people and displaced 50,000 more.
In the aftermath of the disaster, director Ron Howard meets the shell-shocked community, as lifelong residents take stock of their losses and families settle into emergency accommodation.
Over the course of a year, this intimate film follows as slowly, with sheer grit and determination, the residents of Paradise begin to rebuild their lives and redefine the meaning of home.
The online screening will be followed by a recorded Q&A with director Ron Howard.
