Opera for Kids

Albert’s Band’s very own soprano Susan Parkes and pianist Warren Mailley-Smith will deliver an exclusive 30-minute Opera For Kids set from their home as part of the Royal Albert Home sessions.

In these strange times, closing the Hall’s doors is the best way to look after the world, but we are now opening a (virtual) window for you to experience some of the most talented artists around.

Susan and Warren will take us on an operatic adventure from the comfort of our living rooms. Featuring arias from Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro and Puccini’s Madam Butterfly, we’ll be blowing bubbles, pretending to be cats and searching for teddy bears along the way!

Opera For Kids is a regular series of events from our Education & Outreach team and is perfect for children of all ages. We hope you enjoy this special at-home edition, which will be available to watch as it goes out and then on-demand after broadcast.
