No matter how well or efficiently you think you drive, you can always pick up some useful tips in our FREE Fuel Efficient Driver Training, to save you money and fuel every time you get in your car.

Previous participants have gained on average around 15% on their miles per gallon, making this a great money saver. One previous participant said “Before the course I was consistently getting 38 mpg, whereas I’m now getting 42 mpg. Works out at a nice wee saving over 10,000 miles a year”, Another said “I enjoyed the course as James made you feel relaxed and gave me lots of useful advice”.

Our informal training session lasts 50 minutes and takes place with an approved trainer in a dual control car. It’s not like a driving lesson or driving test – the trainer does not critqiue your driving – instead only offering practical tips on how you can improve your fuel efficiency.

The Energy Saving Trust provides the car, fuel and insurance. You’ll complete a circuit twice, once before training and again after training. Miles per gallon is measured for both circuits so you can work out how much you can save. You will also get a certificate from the Energy Saving Trust to say you have completed training.

Further Details

The course will run from the Transition Linlithgow FixIt Hub at Unit 5, Braehead Road, Linlithgow, EH49 6EP. Please can you arrive at least five minutes before your session is due to start. Please also bring your valid drivers license with you on the day otherwise you will be unable to do the training.

Cancellations

Only six participants can take part in the training, so if you can’t attend please let us know as soon as you can to allow us to fill the space. While the course is free to participants, we as an organisation have to pay £30 per unfilled slot.
