The Army Cadet Force is a group of young people ages between 12 and 18. The cadets provide knowledge and skills to progress in syllabus subjects. We provide subjects such as navigation, first aid, fieldcraft, drill and turnout and shooting.
If you enjoy challenging yourself and learning new skills we have plenty to offer you. During our weekday training you can learn about the Armed Forces and build on skills such as leadership whilst making new friends. We also run a two week camp and four weekend camps throughout the year which can involve things such as adventure training, water sports and using your skills out in the field. The ACF progressive syllabus allows you to gain SQA qualifications that you can take with you to further education or a workplace. We encourage our cadets to follow the ACF values which are selfless commitment, respect for others, loyalty, integrity, discipline and courage. Above that we want to encourage the young people to have fun!
