The Transition Linlithgow Tool Library is part of Transition Linlithgow and funded by the Scottish Governments Climate Challenge Fund. We aim to lend out a wide range of things for the local community including tools, gardening equipment, cooking equipment and lots more. We also run a series of workshops focused on upcycling, DIY skills and basic woodworking.

When and Where do you meet?
Tool Collection sessions are every Monday between 10.30am and 11.30am at The Hub (Old Library)
6-7 The Vennel
Linlithgow, EH49 7EX
United Kingdom

Alongside this, we run our Tool Rescue volunteer sessions. Come along and work to refurbish donated tools and add them to the Tool Library inventory.

Why would someone be interested in getting involved?
Tool Libraries are an excellent way of helping to reduce resource use and save money by borrowing rather than buying. If you have an interest in the environment and want to learn more about tool maintenance and DIY then get in touch at
