Local CoronaVirus Update

  1. Rev Dr Liam Fraser has set up a specific Facebook page Linlithgow Coronavirus Support. They are currently leafleting the whole town (using the existing Black Bitch distribution network) with a contact email and telephone number for a “call centre”. Those in need of assistance for shopping or even a social chat will be linked to relevant volunteers.
  2. Linlithgow Community Development Trust will be maintaining the MyLinlithgow.com website with relevant current information.  The website includes a form to be completed by those who wish to volunteer.
  3. Linlithgow Link (set up in 1979) is a voluntary service which provides, through social and community activity, services to those who are isolated by illness, age or infirmity. Linlithgow Link have received many offers of voluntary support, however, not everyone is PVG checked, a process which is currently lengthy.
  4. The Linlithgow (public group) Facebook page contains discussion and local information. Additionally the administrators are accepting relevant posts shared from official NHS/government sources including the Linlithgow Group Medical Practice whose website also contains specific practice information. Through social media there already have been a large number of individual offers of voluntary assistance.
  5. OneLinlithgow BID has compiled a list of local businesses that are still open or delivering services. Remember you can then use the MyLinlithgow Directory to be able to click straight through and link to their websites or Facebook pages.
